The Education Workforce Council (EWC) is the statutory, self-regulating professional body for members of the education workforce in Wales. 

Working as part of the EWC's Fitness to Practise Department, the Casework Support Officer will mainly be responsible for convening meetings and hearings in order to support the administration of cases involving alleged unacceptable professional conduct, serious professional incompetence, conviction of a relevant offence, suitability for registration assessments and Induction Appeals. He or she will also be required to undertake some casework in these areas.

This is a busy and varied role so the successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, an eye for detail and be able to work on their own initiative.  They will have experience of organising meetings and making all the related arrangements such as booking venues, travel and accommodation.

The post-holder will be required to attend Committee meetings and hearings throughout Wales with periodic travel to North Wales and overnight stays a requirement.
