Location: Swansea Hours: 35 per week Salary: £24,500 per annum On-call allowance Start: ASAP BRC are seeking a talented Mental Health Service Manager on behalf of a charitable organisation in Swansea to start at short notice on a temporary to permanent contract. As a successful post holder, you will be joining a strategic supported housing association that are driven to help vulnerable individuals reach independence and strive to make a positive difference to the lives of those who encounter barriers and exclusion in society. Role Overview: As a Service Manager, you will be managing and coordinating the delivery of an accommodation and well-being related service for individuals enduring mental health conditions. You will be delivering client centred, solution focussed support, bespoke to individuals’ needs which ensures the safety and wellbeing of clients. Furthermore, as a service manager you will be recruiting, managing, supporting and developing a team of support workers, who will be responsible for the 24 hour running of the project on a rota basis. Key Responsibilities: You will be responsible for managing budgets of the service and will be required to evidence value for money, and represent the organisation at a range of forums, and external events Manage staff rotas and on-call arrangements, manage annual leave, Oversee strict risk assessment and health and safety procedures and policies Crisis management and protocols Regular supervision and team meetings, measuring individual staff performance, managing absence, team development and team expectations. Co-ordinate and oversee the move in and move on arrangements for clients Managing housing benefit claims, negotiating with housing providers and liaising with the local authority Building solid relationships with landlords, stakeholders and partner agencies. Promoting activities and ways of working that improve wellbeing, self-confidence and recovery and to ensure such activities comply with appropriate health and safety requirements. Ensuring records are kept up to date and to evidence the positive impact support schemes have on vulnerable people to live within the community Providing high quality reports linked to the key performance indicators that are established for the mental health services and which can assist the organisation to commission new services Role Requirements: To be a successful service manager, you will hold a strong passion to help vulnerable individuals, supporting clients with the moving on process and live independently in the community. Essentially, you will need strong management experience with previous experience working in a supported housing environment and supporting vulnerable individuals. You must have strong communication skills, demonstrate confident decision-making and organisational skills as well as have the ability to lead a team.
