Working within a small, fun and busy team, reporting to the Group HR Admin and HR Helpdesk Manager, you will be working together to aid in the delivery of proactive, professional and timely HR support to the management team throughout our UK business. You will play a key role in the provision of an effective and efficient HR service to the business, managing administration processes and offering HR advisory support in an accurate, timely and confidential manner, ensuring compliance with legislation and company procedures. You will also: Offer first line HR advice to managers on Employee Relation (ER) queries, using management packs and OCS Policies to ensure that commercially viable, best practice solutions are delivered Provide proactive transactional support regarding ER queries Act as a point of contact for all internal and external HR queries including their follow up where required Liaise via telephone with management and staff throughout the business to deliver the efficient administration of key ER issues Support the managers by guiding them through ER processes and assisting with the production of letters, notes, and reports Log all activity via a helpdesk database Be responsible for the integrity and accuracy of the helpdesk database Deal with telephone and e-mail queries from managers Draft contracts of employment and variations of terms Produce Maternity / Paternity / Adoption / Shared Parental leave confirmation letters Update SAP (central Payroll system) Respond to reference requests, proof of employment requests and other general HR Administration To succeed in this role you will need: Proven experience as a HR Advisor, preferably in a fast paced, multi-site, service environment A HR qualification such as level 3 or 5 CIPD would be desirable, however, longer term advisory experience over qualifications is preferred Confident telephone manner Competent level of IT skills (Excel/Power Point/Word) A strong working knowledge of UK employment legislation with practical implementation of employment policy The ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment The ability to prioritise work load and meet specific deadlines Willingness and motivation to continually develop, keeping abreast of new legislation and best practices in relation to HR policies and processes The confidence and credibility to voice opinions and suggestions on best practices The ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally The ability to quickly build both personal and functional credibility within the Company.
