Electrical Shift Engineer, Port Talbot, £32 - £35k Summary We are currently recruiting an Electrical Shift Engineer for a large, well-established manufacturer based within the Swansea area, South Wales. The company have a large customer base, supplying various companies throughout the UK. The role is a shift based position working a 2-2-3 continental shift pattern of days and nights (2 days, 2 off, 3 nights, 2 off, 2 days, 3 off etc.) The Role The Electrical Engineer will work as part of a team in a busy and demanding manufacturing environment. Duties will include: - Undertaking planned and reactive maintenance of the plant - Effectively and efficiently responding to machine failures - Working with PLC's - Troubleshooting and fault finding on a range of electrical and mechanical plant equipment - Assisting with general site services The Candidate - Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship - Knowledge of industrial manufacturing electrical equipment fault finding and maintenance - PLC experience - 16th or 17th edition - Time served apprenticeship - Be a good communicator - Be able to work without supervision and complete tasks to a self-imposed timeline - Self-motivated - Siemens Plc S5 and S7 (advantageous) - Experience of vision systems (advantageous) JK Recruitment Please be aware that we receive a high volume of interest for each of our roles and we cannot guarantee we will be in touch if you are not shortlisted for the position.
