IT Project Manager - large-scale group company
IT Project Manager - deliver a broad range of IT Projects for a large-scale group - 12 month FTC Working with a highly public-facing UK Group, an experienced IT Project Manager is required to manage a broad range of IT projects, delivering technology solutions to group companies nationwide. Projects are highly varied spanning a broad range of IT infrastructure and business system solutions, from quick, mid-sized change requests to large-scale projects spanning several years. This is a very "business led technology environment" and as such the position will require a great deal of business partnering, stakeholder engagement and general Change Management in addition to the typical Project Management of deliverables. Example projects include (but not limited to) WAN, Cloud Storage, Hardware upgrades, and various Business System implementations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Managing a portfolio of technology projects and Continuous Improvement activities on behalf of one or more group companies - Plan, direct, and co-ordinate the delivery of a variety of IT projects of varying complexity and budget - Ensuring that project deliverables are produced on time, within budget, and to the agreed specification - Regularly assessing whether projects continue to meet business objectives and Time, Cost and Quality constraints - Contribute to the annual planning, budgetary process and to business strategies - Monitor and report on key business risks and make recommendations with managers for mitigation to reduce risk. - Develop patterns, standards and toolkits to improve project delivery and service improvement - Regularly review progress against the functions overall vision and key success factors Experience required: - Ability to manage 3rd party suppliers and internal technical teams - Previous experience of delivering a variety of Information Technology projects - Experience of delivering multiple projects concurrently - often unrelated - Prince 2 Foundation and/or Practitioner qualifications or a demonstrable, in-depth understanding of Prince2 methodology - Pre-existing knowledge of project management tools and techniques including Microsoft Project or similar - Experience of producing project plans, including resource estimation and allocation - Experience of managing budgets - A broad understanding of IT infrastructure and systems This is an opportunity to accelerate your career, delivering innovative IT solutions within a house-hold brand name UK Group of Companies.
