Vargo is recruiting a Finance Manager for a multi-site business with a head office based in Cardiff. This role will offer a great opportunity to manage all the day-to-day elements of finance for this growing business which operates in a fast-growing market. The role will be reporting into the directors of the business and although initially will be a stand-alone role, as the business develops, there will be a requirement to recruit a team. This job will be will offer autonomy to shape the finance department but also to support the business in making both short and long-term commercial decisions. This is role has a broad remit so will suit someone who enjoys a varied working environment within a growing SME. You should feel comfortable working closely with directors of the business and the external accountants. Overview of duties: Production of Management Reports at a company and group level Involvement in a multitude of process improvements Responsibility for Cost Centre Analysis Budgeting and Forecasting responsibility Development and improvement of monthly reporting structures across the group Provide adhoc reports to the Board of Directors on key areas – including analysis of revenue streams and profitability Providing commercial support to the managing director and senior managers of the business Preparing cash flow forecasts Liaising with the auditors for the annual audit Ensuring that supplier and HMRC payments are made on time Developing the financial information pack which is distributed each period Book-keeping and maintain all accounting records; sales ledger, purchase ledger and bank accounts Monthly/quarterly VAT returns Other adhoc duties as required Skills required: Must have previous commercial experience within an SME environment Sage Line 50 is essential Must be very competent with Excel Previous system implementation/process improvement experience would be an advantage Strong communication skills All levels of qualification will be considered whether Part/Recently qualified or qualified-through-experience This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/75449117
