Companies House is the Government agency responsible for over 3.5 million companies registered in the UK. They are at the forefront of providing online Government services, currently handling 15 million requests per day for company information.They are now looking to hire an experienced Infrastructure / Unix Engineer to lead a team of 6 people while still being ''hands on'' to support the current and future elements of various Companies House mission-critical systems. This role will be responsible for setting priorities, goals, objectives and identifying common problems or weaknesses within the systems and driving continuous improvement. You will respond to incidents and resolve these within given SLAs, contribute to configuration design, decommissioning of redundant systems and documenting solutions. In order to be successful at this role you will have a proven track record in a similar role with a good overall knowledge of the relevant technologies. You will need a good understanding of Solaris 10/11, RedHat 6/7, virtualisation technologies, Netapp and netbackup.
