Accounts Administrator Maternity Cover (Circa 9-12 months) Salary Dependent on Experience 40 hours per week Monday to Friday A temporary role has become available working within the finance team at our head office based on the outskirts of Cardiff. Working as part of a large team, the role of Accounts administrator will assist in the daily administration of the company’s sales accounts. The role will involve a significant element of routine work in support of regular transactions within the sales ledger function but will also require some contribution towards ad hoc analysis of customer data in support of the department . The successful candidate will have experience of working within sales ledger roles, will be well organised and take pride in producing accurate work that meets strict month end deadlines. The role also requires the candidate to be flexible and adaptive to the dynamic working environment and able to demonstrate an ability to communicate clearly and effectively across internal departments and to external customers . Although systems training will be provided, existing knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook are essential. Due to the nature of our billing processes, the ability to use Excel for basic functions is also essential. Key duties include but are not limited to: Data entry (inputting customer orders, sales invoicing, query logs) Proactively assist with timely investigation & resolution of customer billing queries Filing and archiving of paperwork Cover of daily postal duties Ordering of company stationery Scanning of delivery paperwork Answering the telephones Monthly updates and audits of customer fuel surcharges Assisting with the monthly roll over of ledgers (reconciliations, reports, pivots) Chase outstanding paperwork from internal departments and external subcontractors Monitor and manage un-invoiced levels and produce monthly statistical data Various ad-hoc tasks as required in support of the departmental operations Hours of work will be on an alternating weekly shift pattern of 8:00 – 16:00 and 09:30 – 17:30 respectively.
