Production Scientist - Reagents Conjugation Team Cardiff CF14 5DX / Crumlin NP11 3EF Permanent Full Time The BBI Group has been a trusted partner to some of the world’s leading diagnostic and healthcare organisations for over 30 years. As part of our exciting expansion plans, we currently have an opportunity to hire a Production Conjugation Scientist to be based in our Cardiff / Crumlin office. The Role As a Production Conjugation Scientist, you will be part of the Conjugation team and be responsible for over 600 conjugations per year for both internal and external customers. Your duties will include but not be limited to; The conjugation of bio-molecules to colloid, using Conjugation Procedures The completion of documentation to cGMP standards The QC testing of routine conjugates using customer defined/BBI defined QC process. To conform with product and raw material traceability To pack product using packing forms and defined procedures To complete a customised laboratory report To complete trend analysis The peer review of completed documentation The responsibility for specific departmental items of equipment The Person As a Conjugation Scientist, you will need to be a good communicator, have a real passion for your work and be keen to gain the experience the reagents department can offer, putting your education into practice . You could be working on a number of different products, each with different specifications / requirements, and as such, it’s paramount that you can be flexible, adaptable and communicate effectively with your Leader / Manager. You will get the opportunity to work on projects and to get involved and put ideas forward. All projects must be conducted using project management tools, and so it’s advantage if you’ve utilized these previously. To be considered for this role, you will need to have either relevant laboratory / industrial scientific experience or hold a Life Science degree – preferably one which allowed for a significant amount of devoted laboratory time.
