As part of our exciting expansion plans, we currently have the opportunity to hire a Group L&D Training Officer into our HR team, to be based in our Cardiff office. The Role As the Group L&D Training Officer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, implementation and delivery of a learning and development plan, predominantly focusing on knowledge transfer and capture, to our brand new facility based in Crumlin. You will be supporting the Group L&D Manager to review current training processes, focusing on key areas of development for the business, as well as offering a blended learning approach. As the Group L&D Training Officer your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following: To work with the Group L&D Manager to create a Training System that captures the training cycle, and support in developing metrics for this area To work with the Group L&D Manager to create new Induction programmes, both in line with the immediate Resourcing Value Stream, but also to establish a robust induction going forward To work with the Training Value Stream Project Sponsor and Project Lead, including Key Stakeholders, to ensure the successful transfer of knowledge takes place across all three sites to the new BBI Group Global Headquarters. To help support the identification and review of current processes To perform gap analysis’ on the processes to ensure relevant training is identified To actively support in the creation of new training requirements, and deliver to target delegates To make suggestions and improvements to current training documents/training materials and suggest alternative ways of delivery if possible To support with the creation of metrics for this area, and further training programmes, aligning with the key aspects of Investors in People. The Person As the Group L&D Officer , you will need to have some practical experience of group facilitation or training delivery, as well as an understanding of the wider impact of L&D within an organisation. You must be highly organized, with good attention to detail, and the ability to communicate at all levels. An understanding of learning methods, and experience and understanding of Investors in People would be desirable, but is not essential. Ultimately, in terms of person fit, we are looking for enthusiasm for the learning cycle, adaptability with regards to delivery, excellent communication and facilitation skills and high energy.
