Responsibilities: Promote and embed a culture of compliance Chair Governance, Risk and Compliance committee to ensure regulatory risks and issues are identified and resolved Develop and maintain policies and procedures for the general operation of the compliance program Facilitate and report on the operation of the risk management framework Plan and deliver risk based monitoring activity in the second and third line, including reporting to the Board of Directors Provide advice and guidance to the business in relation to relevant regulatory changes that may impact the business or its customers Support the product development process in relation to the delivery of compliant outcomes Support regulatory change initiatives Security/Training Responsibilities: Comply with the Company's information security and data protection policies and the Company's Integrated Management System (IMS) at all times Follow all instructions as laid out within the IMS and local instructions offered by management Study and be aware of relevant controls and instructions as highlighted within the IMS Agree to utilise and manage all assets as stipulated Report security and data protection events, incidents, or concerns via the standard reporting procedures as set out in the IMS Partake in on-going security and data protection competence tests as required Maintain at all times the confidentiality of all the company's privileged data and secrets, and not to divulge the same Qualification and Experience: Degree level qualification in a relevant field eg legal or Risk & Compliance certifications Regulatory and operational risk management, including risk and control assessment process, control monitoring and reporting Managing regulatory change Balancing regulation with commercial activity Interpretation and analysis of legislation and regulation Challenging the status quo and effective change leadership Working collaboratively with others to achieve goals and objectives Drafting policy documents Solid experience in Risk Management techniques and tools and a working knowledge of the Data Protection Act. Interpretation and analysis of legislation and regulation While this is initially for a FTC Maternity cover, it is anticipated that for the right candidate the role will become permanent as this team and department grows.
