For the past 54 years we have been developing and delivering high impact social action volunteering opportunities across the UK.

Our work empowers disabled people to lead independent lives, offers security and stability to families and children, helps young people find their direction in life and enables older people to maintain their health and wellbeing. We engage over 30,000 volunteers every year, a figure that we want to grow over the coming years, and currently have 180 active projects across the UK.

As a national charity with 200 staff our ambition is to reach even more communities across the country, acting locally, regionally and nationally. We operate in five regions: London and the South East, Wales and the West of England, East of England, Midlands and North West, and Scotland and the North East. We also have an Employee Volunteering Team with over 25 years' experience, acting as a broker to provide tailor-made solutions to employers.

About the role
Volunteering Matters is looking for an experienced and dynamic Volunteer Manager to join our delivery team in Gwent.

The role will involve recruiting, training and supporting volunteers, with a specific focus on delivering our SAFE (Sexual Health For Everyone) Project funded by Welsh Government's Tampon Tax Fund.

You will need experience in volunteer management and partnership working, and a proven ability to motivate and engage people.

Appointment to this position is subject to an enhanced disclosure check. Having a conviction will not necessarily cause a bar to employment.
