Reporting to the CFO, you will be Responsible for the financial planning and analysis for the MotoNovo Finance Group. The role will involve the development of appropriate budget models for the business units and consolidated position of MNF, together with regular updated forecasts and the development of stress testing – both 12 months out and over a 5 year horizon. The role will also involve the co-ordination and communication of the budget process across the company, with suitable planning, deadlines and assumptions. The role will need to ensure the processes remain fit for purpose and evolve to meet the changing needs of the business and enables strategic decision making in suitable time scales. To succeed in this role, you will be a fully qualified Accountant, with a qualification that can include ACCA, ICAEW or CIMA). Responsibilities: 1. To develop a robust, timely, financial planning and analysis function within MNF Group, which may include the building of a small team. To regularly review the style of the financial planning to ensure it remains fit for purpose and evolves to meet the changing needs of the business. To act as the primary point of contact within the business for financial planning, and to respond to ad hoc requests in this regard. 2. To produce budgets, forecasts and longer term targets by business unit, by product, or by consolidated group as required. To assist in the financial planning of new initiatives or strategies. To respond to any budget queries from all recipients of the information – London Branch, WesBank & FirstRand. 3. To work with the Financial reporting team to develop robust overhead budgeting processes, including staff costs, by cost centre and consolidated. 4. To work with the Pricing Department to ensure the budget assumptions are sensible and realistic around rate, margin, new business, default etc. 5. Manage the preparation of the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting process. Coordinate the engagement with key stakeholders within the Group during the budgeting process to ensure accountability of cost center owners and the promotion of ‘cost and budget awareness’. 6. Ensure systems integral to the functioning of the budgeting team are maintained to the standard required. Liaise with I.T. or software providers to remedy any operational issues in this regard. 7. Maintain a comprehensive and up to date knowledge and understanding of MotoNovo Finance products and services, providing accurate information and proactively promoting them where appropriate 8. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of regulatory and legislative information related to MotoNovo Finance products and services (e.g. ICOB, FCA Rules, Money Laundering, Data Protection, etc.) as advised by Line Management. Ensure all Money Laundering issues are reported appropriately.
