Technical Team Lead - Cardiff We at Alert Logic are looking for an experienced Team Lead or Manager to join our award-winning Security Operations Centre in Cardiff and manage two teams of talented security analysts. The Team Lead will be responsible for all the day to day management of the team, ensuring that all customer related issues are dealt with professionalism and thoroughness. With a passion for managing and developing technical teams, the team lead will follow industry best practice and look to continuously improve processes and practices to ensure customers get the best experience. The ideal candidate with have relevant technical knowledge within either security, Windows or Linux administration, or network administration, and have experience managing technical teams within a service desk or service delivery environment. Key role responsibilities - Manage activities of Security Analysts - Serve as an escalation point for issues effecting customer experience - Manage projects focused on pro-active product and service enablement - Measure and report on various productivity metrics for the Service Delivery organisation - Identify and implement methods to improve the team's productivity - Foster and implement a culture of continual improvement Required skills and experience - Strong Experience in leading a team in a technical environment, ideally with a technical background yourself - Experience in a customer focused organisation - Previous experience in service delivery based reporting - A successful track record of implementing staff training - Project management skills Desired skills and experience - Understanding of network security concepts - Understanding of networking concepts and either Linux or Windows based systems - ITIL certifications or experience - Any security knowledge around SIEM, Web Application Firewalls, or Log Management - Security certifications such as CISSP, GCIA, or CEH would be a big advantage.
