Trustee - Voluntary Opportunity (Part-Time) Swansea Do you truly care about ending domestic violence for good? The Organisation Our client is recruiting on behalf of a pioneering charity that is dedicated to ending domestic violence and abuse. They are now looking for a number of Trustees to support their Chief Executive and Board of Directors. The Role As a Trustee, you'll operate as part of our client's board working to help end domestic violence and abuse. You'll be devoting your time, effort and skills to enable the charity to progress and keep working towards an end to domestic violence. Specifically, your role will involve: - Directing the affairs of the charity, setting policies and formulating strategies - Ensuring the charity is solvent, well-run and delivers on outcomes - Overseeing the management and administration of the charity - Focusing on the strategic direction of the charity as opposed to the day-to-day running - Promoting and developing the charity - Maintaining sound financial management and control of resources - Contributing to the growth and fundraising strategy - Acting as an ambassador for the charity What Will You Need? In order to become a Trustee for this widely recognised and renowned charity, you will need: - To be willing to dedicate your time and expertise to this worthy cause - A strong commercial and financial background - Integrity - Strategic vision - Good, independent judgement - The ability to think creatively - A willingness to speak your mind and to listen to others' points of view - An understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of trusteeship - The ability to work effectively as a member of a team Other organisations may call this role Trustee, Board Member, Non-Exclusive Director, Voluntary Trustee, Director, Head of, Partner, or Philanthropist. Your commitment for this role will be to travel to Swansea around six times per year to attend Board Meetings. Any further time requirements will be first emailed to you for agreement.
