IT Project Manager
IT Project Manager Cardiff We are looking for an IT Project Manager to Project manage a range of complex ICT projects within our clients` ICT Innovation Programme. You will manage project delivery to time, budget and quality to meet the needs of the project board; in line with project management framework, based on PRINCE2 methodology. We are looking for someone who; - Plans, directs and co-ordinates activities to manage and implement complex interrelated project tasks from proposal initiation to final operational stage. - Understands and applies project planning techniques to ensure project is delivered on time and to expected standards. - Agrees appropriate project options and delivers project objectives in the most cost effective manner. - Sets appropriate milestones; recognises and plans for areas of difficulty, uncertainty and setbacks, regularly reviews project progress and effectiveness. - Regularly reviews work undertaken by project team members against objectives, maintaining and raising awareness of any changes impacting on their work - Determines, monitors and reviews all project economics to include all costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, resources and risk. Ensures that projects are is managed to maximise company benefits. - Identifies occasions where external or additional internal expertise or capacity is required. - Uses resources in a cost-effective manner, ensuring that project members and stakeholders are fully briefed and that the company gets the best possible value for money. - Appraises the effectiveness of the project and communicates the outcome. - Identifies, sets up and co-ordinates events to communicate and deliver, with maximum impact, messages to internal or external audiences, positively promotes and publicises the work of the company Required Skills and Experience - Previous extensive IT Project Management experience - Previous experience of working within programmes of complex ICT projects with inter-dependencies - Experience of business change management when dealing with change that effects all staff in an organisation - Ability to rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities - Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills - Experience of working in a team orientated and collaborative environment - Experience of MS SharePoint, including Office 365 If this sounds like your next opportunity please contact Clare Choytooa at Pertemps Managed Solutions for further information or to apply.
