Spares Warehouse Supervisor Cardiff Permanent / Full Time Up to £25k per annum, depending on experience ST5666 A vacancy has arisen for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor working within our client’s Spare Parts Customer Service department supporting worldwide sales with critical deadlines, meeting the customers’ everyday needs. The role will be responsible for the organisation of daily warehouse activities and worldwide shipments, within a busy environment. Responsibilities: •Improve the current warehouse efficiency maintaining a lean warehouse with little or no obsolete stock and effective parts storage •Maintain daily contact with the sales companies and transportation companies •Planning and organisation of work in line with new model introductions •Liaise with other departments and sales companies to ensure all requirements are satisfied. •Improve warehouse stock controls, ensuring all weekly stock checks are completed and damaged parts managed effectively •Clarify technical issues and provide effective resolutions to issues, prioritising where required. •Monitor stock levels, and packing material usage •Arrange weekly spare parts shipments by liaising with transportation companies •Enforce all health and safety procedures/practices are adhered to. •Participation in various project activities •Take part in continuous improvement activities and contribute suggestions to improve performance •Ensure that all lead-times and targets are met even at short notice •Responsible for a team of staff, monitoring daily activities, organising daily workload •Maintain ISO procedures Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required: •Must be Computer literate, with Oracle, MIS, Telnet experience desirable •Successful candidate will have relevant experience within warehousing •A recognised supervisory/logistic based formal qualification would be desirable •Must possess a good understanding of warehousing and logistics’ •Self motivated, able to work on own initiative. •Good numerical skills and excellent writing ability •Able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines •Good time management and organisational skills •Good communication and organisational skill are required. •Excellent understanding of warehouse health and safety management This job was originally posted as
