Job Title: Fraud Analyst Location: Cardiff City Centre Salary: Up to £28,000 (dependant on experience) Annual Bonus Hours: 35 hours per week Are you a Fraud Analyst seeking your next challenge? The officer will ensure all Compliance matters in respect of SIRA, CIFAS & Fraud reporting are maintained in a manner consistent with legislation and which is reflected in Company Policy and Procedures. Job Summary: To take responsibility for Financial Crime issues, investigating Financial Crime Risk Events, identifying fraud trends and typologies, conducting detailed root-cause analysis, and the production of Management Information for the business. Providing recommendations to the Financial Crime Manager for the implementation of controls and optimisation of rule sets to mitigate identified risks, in line with the Fraud Risk Appetite. Responsibilities: Identify and analyse new Financial Crime legislation and regulations, making recommendations to the business in conjunction with the Financial Crime Manager for implementation within the relevant deadline. Provide a knowledgeable and comprehensive advisory service to the Financial Crime Manager, Chief Risk Officer and Business Managers when assessing, reviewing and making recommendations. To maintain the Fraud Risk Appetite, ensuring it is regularly updated to reflect the current Financial Crime risks identified, providing recommendations for change to the Financial Crime Manager. To analyse the performance of Fraud Prevention systems, ensuring the optimisation of the SIRA and CIFAS rule sets in line with the Fraud Risk Appetite, so that fraud is identified and prevented at the point of application, whilst false positive matches are minimised. To represent the Financial Crime team at project meetings as delegated by the Financial Crime Manager. Assisting in the development of new products, identifying associated risks, and recommending appropriate controls. The production of accurate Management Information in relation to Financial Crime to ensure that reporting requirements are met for providing KPIs, KRIs, and general MI to Regulators, Industry Bodies, Committees, and individual departments across the business. To conduct investigations into cases of Product Fraud, Internal Fraud, External Fraud, and Dealer Fraud compiling evidence, submitting witness statements and presenting exhibits to the NaVCIS Vehicle Fraud Unit, Action Fraud and the Police. To liaise with Police Constabularies, Port Authorities, Europol and Interpol to assist in the investigation of suspects and the recovery of assets. To represent the company in court as a witness to convey witness statement evidence. To act with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity to maintain the company reputation. To provide training, support and guidance on Financial Crime matters to relevant parties within the company, ensuring individual awareness and understanding of Financial Crime procedures, supported with process flows where necessary. Respond to customer complaints relating to Financial Crime issues, including Police Investigations, SIRA and CIFAS filings, in accordance with SIRA, CIFAS regulations and company procedures. To maintain all Critical Spreadsheets and Databases used by the Financial Crime team, ensuring that all records and subsequent information produced, are held in an accurate manner. Ensure all systems based records and all documentation is comprehensively updated and maintained in an accurate and timely manner as prescribed by regulatory, legislative requirements and company procedures. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of regulatory and legislative information related to MotoNovo Finance products and services (e.g. Credit Consumer Act, Data Protection Act, Proceeds of Criminal Act etc. Money Laundering, etc.), as advised by line management.
