IT Service Operations Manager Swansea or Swindon, Permanent Salary range: £46,696 - £53,700 depending on skills and experience Join the DVLA as an IT Service Operations Manager, and you'll ensure that our world-class customer-facing digital services, and our internal business services, are delivered effectively efficiently. Heading up a team of 60 staff within IT Service Operations, you'll be responsible for setting direction, implementing technology and processes, driving performance, and building the capability required to meet the future needs of our customers. You'll be joining during an exciting time for the DVLA, as we continue the major transformation of our legacy estate, utilising an in-house developed and supported set of services. Your role will see you provide effective, strategic-level leadership for all Service Operations activities, which include: - Incident management - Problem management - Service desk - including request fulfilment and access management - Event management - IT service continuity - Availability and capacity management - End user computing. Ideally, you'll have a background in IT service Operations Management, which included e-commerce services. You'll also have knowledge of ITIL methodology, ideally with a foundation-level qualification, and you'll be experienced in building, developing and managing service delivery and support teams. Successful candidates will need to be eligible to gain BPSS clearance.
