Read on As a 3rd Line Support Engineer you'll be responsible for supporting customers on the client's various software products. You'll deal with serious technical issues, working with various teams to resolve these in a timely manner. You'll work with customers over the phone to resolve their issues, rather than going back and forth on email. This role will involve you using multiple technologies and you'll need to be skilled in many areas. Skills & Experience required; - Demonstrable complex 3rd line software troubleshooting and problem management experience from within a high availability, mission critical and customer focussed environment - Excellent understanding of web site and enterprise infrastructure technology - Strong knowledge and hands-on troubleshooting experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and/or 2012 - Experience with Networking - understand TCP/IP, explain the difference between protocols, explain some network troubleshooting - Linux - expertise in Linux and be able to demonstrate comfort with Linux OS, how to navigate a system from a ssh session and troubleshoot - HTTP - need to know how a browser works e.g. HTTP requests. Client / Server relationship - Experience of Cloud technologies (Azure / AWS etc.) - Strong knowledge and hands-on troubleshooting Microsoft IIS, SQL Server, Active Directory - Excellent understanding of web site and enterprise infrastructure technology - Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills Beneficial Experience & Skills - Java, JavaScript, Web Dev - products run in Java and we embed Javascript in web pages to utilise our product. Any Java or web development would be a big bonus - Any SIP knowledge would be a big bonus - Additional preferred skills: VMware ESX, VSphere, Exchange, Cisco experience, SAN/NAS, ITIL knowledge, WebRTC, JBoss Sound like the role for you?
