Working for a Global Financial Services organisation the Business Manager will be responsible for monitoring & analysing business performance, identifying opportunities & issues and recommending actions and will support MD Consumer and management team. Develop a robust Planning & Forecasting methodology for the Business Unit overall, creating an easily understood framework to allocate all Revenue & Costs. Identify performance variance to plan and contribute to associated action planning. Working with the Consumer business and wider teams to ensure that appropriate measurement systems and tools are in place to enable the business to drive improvement in client outcomes and sales performance. Reviewing and analysing performance on behalf of Consumer management team, identifying trends, opportunities and issues and highlighting them to relevant stakeholders and making decisions aimed at eliminating and preventing causes of under-performance. Providing Monitoring and supporting Risk, Audit & Compliance central teams ensuring effective engagement from the business. Provide co-ordination for new initiatives on behalf of the business ensuring the appropriate central functions are engaged to deliver a robust and compliant approach to proposition development. Supporting business planning process and monitor performance, KPI's and any variance and reporting commentary for the Consumer management team. Experience Demonstrate proposition development skills, preferably with deep sector based knowledge and understanding of market, product and related technical general insurance needs in the professionals sectors and with particular reference to Personal Lines insurance. Successful & demonstrable track record in analysis and providing solutions or recommendations Track record of building and maintain key strategic relationships with colleagues, clients, business partners and insurers that deliver real value in support of key deliverables A track record of operating successfully in a regulated environment and a demonstrated understanding of the risk management, legal and compliance issues. Used to working in a large, complex organisation with a large number of businesses, products, distribution channels and multiple sites and the consequent need to handle competing agendas, time frames and demands on resources. A proven record of developing and driving the strategic agenda, leading commercial change, and supporting a business during a dynamic and challenging phase. Used to working in a highly results oriented and performance driven environment with a focus on excellence.
