As the Shift Maintenance Manager you will report directly to the Maintenance Manager you will look after your Engineering team and will be responsible for maintenance and improving the efficiency of a complex high volume site based outside Cardiff. Client Details My client, based just outside Cardiff is a UK wide high speed manufacturer who is synonymous with quality and a desire to develop their team members. As the Shift Maintenance Manager you will play an important role in the success of their business. Description As the Shift Maintenance Manager your responsibilities will be: To operate a Maintenance Management programme directed towards optimising plant availability. Control, monitor and review the maintenance, calibration, external service, repair of all production plant and equipment, within the maintenance schedules. To ensure that all maintenance and contract work is carried out with due regard to best practice. Train and develop engineering personnel to achieve a dual skilled integrated team-working environment and where appropriate identify potential for more senior roles. To produce a continuous improvement plan, targeted at increasing productivity from existing plant and reducing maintenance costs. To be part of the engineering management team responsible for operational decision-making and key performance indicators along with providing hands-on support in the event that there is insufficient resources available. Provide sufficient technical knowledge and leadership to resolve technical problems. Profile The successful candidate will have: Post apprenticeship, preferably in a high volume-manufacturing environment HNC/D A proven practitioner of preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, problem solving and continuous improvement skills Previously held down a position of leading a team of engineers Job Offer Circa £45,000 , benefits and the opportunity to develop your qualifications and career.
