A new opportunity for a Contracts Manager has arisen within a well established residential developer and contractor. Operating within South Wales and South West of England, this is with a national business and reports to the regional Operations Director. This position will initially be responsible for three sites based between Bristol and Cardiff, ranging up to 80 units with a mix of 2, 3 and 4 bed homes. The region is currently delivering a range of small to long-term multiphase developments, delivering new build private homes for sale and affordable housing for key clients. A key driver of the region is to achieve HBF 5 Star rating through excellent quality and customer service; this will be a key consideration of the selection process. The business is targeting sustainable growth, and currently enjoying success against measured objectives as it continues its expansion plan. Key Skills and Experience Proven leader of people - ability to drive high performance teams, achieving targets for quality, customer service and Health & Safety. Key focus on customer service to ensure quality of build on handover, working in adherence to NHBC standards and Considerate Constructors Scheme. Experience of successfully delivering open market and affordable housing, including managing public sector clients and individual end-users. Excellent knowledge of Building Regulations, NHBC and Health & Safety legislation. Develop strong relationships with subcontractors and trades to ensure they are meeting key build milestones. A natural and engaging communication style, demonstrating a passion and excellence for developing trusting, sustainable and robust relationships both internally and externally. Desired Candidate Profile A Contracts Manager who nurtures excellent stakeholder relations, bringing a passion for quality and customer service. As a manager, you will demonstrate ability to lead your team to delivering excellent sites, developing good relations with NHBC whilst empowering Site Managers to run their sites with pride and distinction. This role will ideally suit someone who is passionate about the industry, committed to their career, and understands the challenges of the housing sector. This is a people-focused business, with passionate individuals.
