An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Field Service Engineer to join a growing healthcare company to cover Cardiff and the South Wales area. This is a home based role and comes with a company van as you will be expected to travel around the Cardiff and South Wales area to service clients on pre-planned maintenance, follow up service visits and emergency break down calls. Key Accountabilities: Responsible for maintenance service contract visits, including annual servicing and LOLER inspections, interim Breakdown Call-outs and Service follow up work Responsible for loading and testing of equipment to loads of 200kg in units of 25kg Transferring weights and tools from van to trolley, manoeuvring the loaded weight trolley around customer sites Working from access equipment – step ladders, Sherpas etc. Working on in-situ equipment – From baths fitted to the floor, ceiling hoist, fixing to the ceiling. Access can be limited and does involve bending, twisting, stretching and balancing. You will be expected to travel therefore you will need to be fit to drive any length of journey as some days can be spent driving for the most part Key Experience: Experience in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering including servicing assets such as Bed, Mattresses, Hoists, Baths etc. or relevant qualifications Understand the importance of the Health and Safety aspect that is required in the role Good Fault finding skills and be able to responsible for your workload Excellent Customer Service skills as you will be working in the healthcare company where you will need to be sensitive to the surroundings you are in CRB cleared which will be required if offered the position UK driving Licence is required Be a personable and creative individual as you need to develop our business by observing and recording sales opportunities and suggesting new ways of how we can deliver real value to our results This is a full time permanent position paying between £10 – 14 per hour based on experience. Standard working hours are 47.5 hours, which includes all travel time from when you leave and return home. There is also an on call allowance and some good benefits attached to this role.
