Our client is a growing and progressive Assistive Technology company supplying a range of telecare alarms to both individuals and care related institutions.They have thousands of service users across the UK and pride themselves on providing excellent levels of customer care on an ongoing basis. Due to their continued growth, they offer the opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant / Administrator to join a small and friendly team in their Cardiff Office. This role involves providing support to the Finance Manager and Directors, in addition to some general customer service. As the successful Accounts Assistant, your key responsibilities will involve: • Purchase Ledger data entry • Bank transaction entry and reconciliation • Preparing Accounts for VAT Return • Credit control • Ad hoc accounting duties as given by the Finance Manager • Maintaining customer financial records within our bespoke database • Maintenance and administration of recurring revenue streams • Some general Customer Services support, via telephone and email The successful Accounts Assistant will have previous experience of using SAGE or Xero and have a general understanding/knowledge of basic accounting principles. Effective communication skills and a willingness to perform duties outside of the finance function are also important. It is desirable for the applicant to have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office although full training of their systems will be provided. This role is a temporary position for maternity cover and is part time, provisionally set at 20-25 hours per week.
