Client Details Based in Cardiff my client are a leading global manufacturing business supplying into a range of industries. This position would suit somebody who can demonstrate a successful career record in leading maintenance teams in driving a world class manufacturing environment. Description As the Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that the facilities, layout and machinery used to produce new and existing products produce to their maximum efficiency and output without comprising the quality of the product. Lead the site Maintenance function in providing both a pro-active and reactive, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure. Responsible for planned scheduling creation and overseeing the adherence and timely completion of work carried out. Increase the site operational effectiveness, improve on project delivery, mean time between failure and downtime reduction, and manage and implement improvement plans, driving Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to. Manage the team on technical best practice and establish standard policies and procedures whilst, also mentoring and leading the department. Implement and manage continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principals by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes. Profile To be considered as Maintenance Manager for my client based in Cardiff you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience: - Educated to a minimum of HND in engineering discipline. - Time served apprentice with a proven history of self-development post qualifying. - Ideally already trained to IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent. - A thorough knowledge of IT systems with sound skills in Excel & Word & Powerpoint packages. - Previous experience of carrying out risk assessments in the workplace and documenting safe working procedures. - A proven history of fault finding to source and implementation of corrective actions. - Project management skills.
