You will be responsible for: Assisting with the technical implementation of infrastructure services to allow migration of key applications from legacy platforms to Windows Server 2012R2 environments Carrying out testing and work within assurance processes, to ready applications for operational service. Carrying out technical changes to remediate defects identified during testing Assisting with completion of technical documentation Knowledge, Skills and Experience The Infrastructure Migration Engineer must have proven experience in the following areas (detailed evidence must be provided in the candidate's CV): Windows Server 2012R2/2016 Microsoft Hyper-V hypervisor Citrix XenApp or Microsoft Remote Desktop Services Experience and knowledge in some of the following areas is also advantageous: Other Microsoft Infrastructure Server products, e.g. Microsoft SCOM Enterprise Backup Products e.g. Veritas NetBackup Citrix XenApp 7.x Network Load Balancers Working with Healthcare applications Working within an ITIL-based service management framework, with clear process around change and release management An awareness of confidentiality and information security requirements within the NHS We are looking for an experienced infrastructure engineer who can quickly learn our systems and deliver against objectives without close supervision.
