Subsidiaries, as part of the Group Secretariat, supports the Islands Board, its committees, subsidiaries and its directors, as well as entities within the wider Group structure, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements as well as best practice standards.The Assistant Manager will deliver expert advice to stakeholders and to the Secretariat community by operating as a functional specialist. You'll operate as a technical expert within a highly effective team who provide a full company secretarial service across the Group, its committees and subsidiaries ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements as well as best practice standards.You'll manage a portfolio of Group entities, principal subsidiaries and director relationships ensuring that they comply with their statutory and regulatory responsibilities. A detailed knowledge of the laws, regulations and applicable codes relating to public, regulated and listed companies is essential, including but not limited to the statutory duties. A good understanding of the regulatory environment in which the Group operates is also important for this role. Ideally you'll have a detailed knowledge of Jersey Collective Investment Fund Administration and knowledge of Investments and their associated products.You'll act as a source of knowledge and expertise providing proactive professional advice and guidance as a trusted advisor to the team and its stakeholders, contribute to the development of policy and procedures and proactively manage your own portfolio to ensure good Corporate Governance. You'll proactively maintain knowledge and understanding of legislation or regulatory requirements and to present findings and updates to the Group. And you should have a premium awareness of the likely impact of economies, political, social and regulatory change on the Group's business. To be successful in the role you'll have experience working in a secretarial team of a large company/group (preferably Banking and/or Finance environment) and in that time have proven application of professional company secretarial practice and a working knowledge of relevant company law. It would be beneficial to have successfully completed Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators ("ICSA") Diploma in Offshore Finance and Administration, or equivalent relevant professional qualification.Making you feel valued is important so we offer a highly competitive reward package - based on acting responsibly and demonstrating our values and ethics.
