The job in a nutshell CarShop are part of the Sytner Group and we are enjoying phenomenal success. We are growing our proposition and are set to open a further 3 retail stores over the next 12 months. Thats why we are looking for talented individuals to come and jpin the CarShop family. Our Service Centre Manager positions are critical to the success of the store and as a senior manager you will be expected to support the Operations Manager in growing our service proposition and delivering a World Class Customer Experience. You will already have been identified as our future talent and as such will be on a clear development path to help us deliver outstanding results. This development plan requires you to spend significant amounts of time in each of our stores to learn from our existing Service Managers. This means the successful candidate is required to be flexible in terms of travel and location. We understand that this is a huge commitment however we will assist and invest in you by picking up the costs of both travel and accommodation in the short and long term. This can be discussed fully on application. What you will be doing You will be leading customer focused excellence to enable our Service Centres to achieve its key performance indicators and objectives, whilst ensuring responsibility of the day-to-day running of the Service Centre and all its associated managerial duties The co-ordination for the high profile service and MOT centre Responsibility for ensuring that customer service levels are upheld and improvements made where appropriate. Management of vehicle movement on site To take ownership and manage the Service Centre Department, including directly managing Technicians and Service Advisors To ensure key performance indicators and objectives are met to ensure profitability To communicate openly and effectively with other relevant departments to ensure a smooth and seamless Customer journey Effectively manage departmental budgets set in terms of cost and sales To ensure attendance at all operations and/or meetings pertinent to the Service Centre Establish adequate safety and security procedures to protect property and Colleagues ensuring Health and Safety legislation is consistently adhered to Establish and monitor all training requirements and costs to provide satisfactory levels of skill, job satisfaction and cost effective development of key Colleagues. Ensure all work carried out by the Service Centre is of a consistent high standard in line with CarShop standards. What we think good looks like Essential to hold a full UK/EU driving license Previous experience in a similar role, including managing a diverse work group An up to date working knowledge of the motor industry including MOT management Articulate and confident in communicating changes and new procedures A working knowledge and practical experience in complying with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 Ability to develop practices and processes with analysing factors and incidences to prevent re occurrence What happens next?
