CYM367 Team Manager, Confident Parents, Stronger Families Service, South East Wales Locality 
SALARY: £26,832 to £33,758 per annum
GRADE:  P30A/E30A
HOURS:  37 HPW

Fixed Term to cover Maternity Leave until 14th September 2018

The Confident Parents, Stronger Families Service was established in April 2017 and promotes family resilience through the delivery of holistic support packages for children, young people and their parents. Parents will be supported to improve their skills and knowledge, whilst enhancing their child's health, well-being and development. This is a relatively new service so  the post holder will be contributing to its development. As manager of the service you will oversee and co-ordinate delivery, which will include parenting programmes to meet the identified  needs of  families.

Your Initial Specific Responsibilities will be:

  • Leading a team of staff and sessional workers in developing and maintaining effective practice and delivery of services to children, young people and families
  • Completing all management procedures and routines in line with Barnardo's People Policies
  • To plan and delegate the allocation of workload and resources within area of responsibility
  • Raising awareness of Barnardo's and its work within the Locality to commissioners, external partners and Barnardo's supporters

The successful post holder will have;

  • Have experience of working with children and families in a Family Support setting
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and legislation
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all times
  • Willingness to work evenings or weekends by arrangement on an occasional basis if required
