The Opportunity: The Data Team Manager will be required to manage the day-to-day operations of the domestic energy data processing team. This will be achieved by providing clear guidance to team members on their expectations. Plans will be developed and implemented to ensure individual and team expectations are achieved. As well as strong performance management capability the Team Manager will also look to continually develop their team providing all necessary training and support. This role will also encompass all personnel related matters, customer management including reporting and the setting and monitoring of team and individual targets. As well as having responsibility to ensure financial targets are achieved the role also requires an awareness of technical related issues, both internal and external factors to further develop the business. The Job Responsibilities: Manage overall day-to-day operations of the Domestic data team including work allocation, change/process implementation and meetings Plan and prioritise own workload and that of team members in order to achieve key business objectives and customer expectations Customer Management including complaints and report handling Responsible for regular management reporting to the management team to demonstrate productivity and performance delivering as minimum to industry compliance Responsible for client reporting and attending client led meetings Carry out interviews, training, target setting/monitoring & all HR related duties for the team Awareness of P&L activity; assistance in maximising profit with business area through awareness of sales and cost reduction opportunities Proactively seek opportunities to increase operational effectiveness The encouragement and building of interdepartmental working relationships The Skills and Experience Required: Strong people and performance management experience Process management and improvement Customer relationship management P&L awareness/management Reporting management Escalations and query management Good IT skills particularly Excel Experience of the Energy/Utilities industry would be a distinct advantage The Location: This position is based at the company Data Services Division in Wentloog, Cardiff. The office is accessible by public transport from Cardiff City Centre and at various pick up points along Newport Road. The hours of work are 08:30am - 17:00pm Monday to Friday with an hour for lunch. The Salary and Benefits: The salary offered is from £20,800k to £30,000k per annum.
