Do you have the ability to initiate and implement an effective category management strategy? Have you been accountable for the full end to end sourcing of a defined product and service portfolio? Can you manage multiple tenders and a number of projects simultaneously? Situated within easy access from the M4, with excellent amenities, parking and with a great benefits package Based within a well established and well sort after employer, you will be required to be part of the Procurement Team and responsible for building strong relationships with partners of the company to ensure that the benefits to the company are maximised Your main objective will be to achieve key procurement values - Savings, Cash Flow, Speed of Change and Service Key Responsibilities: Accountable for the development and implementation of a complete category strategy in line with the key procurement objectives Responsible for ensuring internal stakeholder engagement and a high level service is achieved Responsible for running procurement tenders and projects delivering values defined in the category strategy (DPO,WAPT) Through the management of a team, ensure that all day to day tasks are completed effectively and in a timely manner. This includes all managerial responsibility Use analytical tools to define strategic decisions Manage complex negotiations around supply continuity work with peers, colleagues and key stakeholders to develop where appropriate strategic alliances across our supply base. Set and define the standards and key performance measures for the category team in alignment with the Head of Procurement. Continuous monitoring of wider market trends to innovate, promote best practice and ensure commercial advantage Operates within guidelines set by the Head of Procurement and in line with company rules of business and procedures Responsible for market price monitoring to ensure accurate price forecasting and risk mitigation - including input to the Risk Committee Ensure a robust supplier performance system is in place and maintained. Conduct regular supplier reviews meetings Responsible for the delivery of year on year cost saving, DPO, WAPT and supply base improvement programs. Skills Needed: MCIPS or studying towards is a MUST Procurement experience especially centred around cost saving and service enhancements Microsoft's Dynamics AX would be a huge advantage Suppler relationship management Experience in large, complex cross function projects. Ability to lead a team as well as the procurement function Be a decision maker and be able to work autonomously and independently Strong organisational and time management skills Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm Randstad Business Support acts as an employment business when supplying temporary staff and as an employment agency when introducing candidates for permanent employment with a client.
