We are currently looking to recruit a Programme Manager (Water Mains Cleansing) on a permanent basis. The Programme Manager will provide strategic and operational expertise in all areas of Contract responsibility. You will exercise accountability and responsibility for profitability, health and safety, efficiency and quality / environmental systems, as well as staffing and procedures. This role supports a Welsh Water Contract, with time split equally between North and South Wales. Duties: Ownership and delivery of contract business plan in a relation to the Welsh Water Mains Cleansing Programme. Ensure contract works are undertaken safely, operations conform to statutory requirements, company procedures and policies. Ensure that contracts operate profitably and to required standards continually looking for and implementing improvements and cost savings. Oversee the operational resources and activities within areas of responsibility to professional, financial and quality standards. Ensure that contracts are effectively resourced and that key personnel are retained and developed. Key liaison point for client senior contacts and maintain visibility and relationship with Clients. Management of operational staff to ensure the achievement of Key Performance Indicators. Provide leadership and direction to contract teams. Ensure that regular team meetings and briefings are maintained and morale maintained. Look for and spread best practice across contract areas and colleagues Provide input to contract tender bids What we are looking for: Broad experience of utility contracting gained through senior management experience in the sector Commercial awareness In depth technical understanding of water utility sector Proven people management experience Proven negotiating and influencing skills Client focus and understanding of the clients business Focussed on achieving business targets 'Can do' attitude In depth knowledge of / qualification in health and safety Benefits: In return you are offered a competitive base salary (40k-50k DOE); company vehicle, fuel card and you will have access to an array of company benefits.
