IT Support Officer - 2nd Line Support - 12 Months FTC Location: Cardiff Salary: Circa £25,000 per annum IntaPeople is currently seeking an experienced IT Support officer to join a busy client`s IT team on a 12month fixed-term basis, with the chance to extend past the proposed period. The successful candidate will be joining a current support team of 5, supporting around 600 users in South Wales across multi-sites. The majority of the time you will be based at the Cardiff HQ however some travel to other sites will be required when needed. You will actively contribute to the development and maintenance of the current IT systems by providing ongoing support and making necessary changes to maintain the systems. This is a predominantly 2nd Line focussed role however there may be times when you will need to assist and support the helpdesk to provide cover and respond to requests. You will also be implementing and supporting third party software and provide training/advice to clients, keeping up to date with developments. You will have proven experience of providing effective end user support in a busy corporate environment across a wide range of technical areas. Including the likes of; - Mobile & fix telephony (IP and telecom switch management) - MS Office, Exchange and Exchange Online. - Windows Server including hardware knowledge (SAN`s) - Awareness and exposure to Networking (Structured cabling, Cisco switches) - SQL - Hosted services delivered via Azure and Office 365. - VMWare and Linux exposure - Project management and a good understanding of Web technologies.
