As part of the new company, you the Technical Data Analyst will work closely with the product development and operational teams to create insightful interactive analyses from their Big Data platform, you will extract data, identify and analyse trends, create visual models to accurately display information. The primary responsibility of this role is to produce insights from big data as opposed to being a report runner`. You will ask questions of the answers you get from data and drive through to complete analyses to present to stakeholders across the company as well as external partners. You`ve got to love a challenge, and have the drive to continually improve the service to strive for best practices that ultimately deliver the best software to their users. Applicants should have experience identifying/analysing trends, and creating visual models to accurately display information; the successful candidate should have experience working in a similar role as well as- - Data manipulation and extraction skills using SQL. - Experience with Data Visualization Software such as Tableau, Qlikview or Spotfire Desirable skills would include Machine Learning or experience with stats as well as any data manipulation skills using tools such as Pandas, Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive, Pig, etc You must be able to articulate complex technical information to non-technical people at all levels. Responsibilities in this role will be varied however will include - - Creating insightful static and interactive visualisations from large multi-dimensional data sets. - Communicating face-to-face with end-users to gain insights about their needs and idiosyncrasies - Leveraging data to identify, quantify and influence tangible business gain. - Ability to see beyond the numbers and be the voice of data when communicating - Challenging ideas and methods while working together with talented, highly skilled team members.
