Nurse (RGN) - Llantrisant We are recruiting for a RGN to join our clients' fantastic nursing and residential home. Their main vision has always been to have the opportunity to help the old and elderly live in a comfortable and safe environment. The Care Home has been awarded with Premier Status by the local authority which is a great achievement within such a short time of opening. After one year operation, the home received positive feedback by social workers and service users, and as a result the home often has a long waiting list. Our mission includes the provision of the highest quality nursing care and treatment to meet individual needs of the residents in a domestic and comfortable environment. In essence to provide a place for care services, to be called home by all residents. It is their intention to be wholly committed to maintain the interests, welfare and well-being of all residents and members of staff through efficient organisation and management. Job Role: Nurse (RGN) Hours: 36 hours per week Salary: £16.10 per hour What you need: - Registered PIN - Ability to communicate effectively at all levels - Genuine interest in working with the relevant Client group - Satisfactory Police Check and check against the POVA List (where applicable) - Team player - Experience / qualification in care for relevant Client category is desirable - Previous supervisory experience is desirable Job Description: - Report any ill health amongst Clients and make requests for GP / Professional visits where necessary. - Assess all aspects of Clients' care needs, and provide health supervision and direct Nursing Care when required. - Maintain accurate records and ensure that each Client within the Care Home has an individualised Care Plan. Client Care Plans to be reviewed on a monthly basis, or more frequently if required, in accordance with NMC guidelines & Company policy. - Administer prescribed medicines and document the same in accordance with the Company's procedure and NMC guidelines. - Participate in Staff and Client meetings as and when required. - Establish and maintain good communication with Clients, Relatives and with the multidisciplinary team. Provide administrative support when required. - Ensure the Care Home is attractively presented, and odour free at all times, in line with the company's attention to detail philosophy. - Supervise and instruct junior and new Staff Members in all aspects of their work in the Care Home, giving help and guidance where appropriate. - Attend mandatory training days/courses, on or off site, as and when required. - Report immediately to the Home Manager, or the Person in Charge, any illness of an infectious nature or accident incurred by a Client, colleague, self or another. - Understand, and ensure the implementation of the Care Home's Health and Safety policy, and Emergency and Fire procedures.
