Lead Manufacturing Engineer
Opportunity to join an expanding organisatino within a senior technically focused role playing a key part in the development of the manufacturing processes for a unique product range. The Lead Manufacturing Engineer will play a pivotal role in liaising between a team of engineers and a scientific R&D team to ensure that process development and scale up is achieved as they work towards the commercialisation of a group of products. The role will of Lead Process Engineer will involve the management of resources towards the achievement of deadlines while coaching, mentoring and developing a team of talented design, mechanical and process engineers. As the Lead Manufacturing Engineer your duties will include: - Leading a team of mechanical and design engineers - Taking a hands-on approach to process engineering and the development of manufacturing equipment - Setting strategies to address the engineering challenges faced by the company - Implementing solutions in line with industry best practice - The Lead Process Engineer will oversee the process validation procedures onsite - Collaborating with external development partners - Make improvements to existing processes where appropriate - Travel to other sites within the group (UK and Europe) in line with development requirements To be a successful Lead Manufacturing Engineer you will have the following skills and experience: - An Engineering related degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Chemical, etc.) - Experience of process development / manufacturing setup development within a highly-regulated industry - Experience of managing / coaching / mentoring a design / R&D team - The Lead Process Engineer will need good project management skills - The ability to travel within the UK and Europe as required In line with business / development requirements In return, the Lead Manufacturing Engineer will receive a salary of £53,000 - £58,000 (potentially more for the right person) pension, bonus, etc. If you wish to be considered for this role, please click on the apply button.
