My client is a leading manufacturer within its field. Due to their continued growth, they are now looking to appoint a Supply Chain Manager to join the business. Role/Responsibility: You will be joining a large manufacturing business based in South Wales working as a Supply Chain Manager. Having been established for years, they are leading the market with their superior quality and innovation. You will be responsible for the following areas: Review supplier performance and attend review meetings with key suppliers Deliver continuous improvement in supplier delivery, quality and cost To modify and/or stop procurement for quality, environmental or health and safety related matters Review supplier performance and attend review meetings with key suppliers You will be expected to source and manage new suppliers whilst ensuring you achieve the best possible rates for your employer whilst not reducing the overall quality of product. You will be expected to work closely with the Quality and Production team to ensure that all products are delivered to standard and not compromising the integrity of the brand. Oversee the planning and scheduling of work Deliver solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements Negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and logistics providers Prepare forecast and inventories Manage relationships across multi-functional teams Reduce waste Skills/Qualifications: To be successful in your Supply Chain Manager application, you will have gained experience dating at least 5 years within a Managerial Procurement position. Having gained a CIPS or CILT qualification will also be advantageous in your application to join the Supply Chain team. Experience of an MRP or and ERP system, it will ideally be within a manufacturing environment. Experience of developing and implementing forecasting methods and tools will support your application further.
