Based At: Corporate Finance, Bridgend
South wales Police are looking for someone with real business insight, as well as the ability to build credibility and rapport at a senior police level. It will be your job to support the Principal Management Accountant to provide a comprehensive, high quality, proactive and dynamic management accountancy service whilst ensuring compliance with best accounting and management practices and Statutory and Police Regulations. You will be responsible for providing financial information and advice to the Police and Crime Commissioner and Chief Constable, Chief Officers, Managers and in respect of recovery of costs and income generation regarding services provided to external bodies.
You will ideally be a qualified or part qualified accountant, member of the Association of Accounting Technicians, or hold an NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in a relevant field (with at least 3 years relevant work experience).
