Senior Analyst - Unsecured Capital & Impairment

The Cards Impairment Team is within the Retail and Consumer Credit Division of Group Risk and is responsible for the production of all credit risk critical reporting, including impairment and capital reporting, forecasting and stress testing, across GBP20bn Unsecured LBG portfolios.
A role that matters, you'll be responsible for providing the technical support/lead in the following areas:
* monthly and quarterly impairment & capital reporting suites to support key risk meetings and regulatory reporting
* quarterly 5 year forecasts, including recommendations for and oversight of any forecast model builds
* supporting analysis required for capital model recalibrations and redevelopments
* impairment, capital, data and model governance controls including annual technical validations
This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who is keen to develop their technical capabilities and stakeholder management, with a day to day requirement to work with data and models via various analytical systems including SAS, SQL, Teradata and Mainframe.
You'll be qualified to degree level or equivalent in a highly analytical and numerate discipline, such as mathematics, physics, engineering, economics, IT or similar
You'll have a good understanding of more sophisticated credit risk techniques and able to apply these independently
You'll have advanced analytical/problem-solving skills and be a highly competent user of data and analytical systems such as SAS, SQL, Teradata and Mainframe
Strong communication, stakeholder relationship management and influencing skills are a must as you will be expected to work closely with and build exceptionally strong relationships across a whole host of different teams.
A good understanding of the Credit Risk lifecycle and/or knowledge of Capital & Impairment would be highly desirable.
