Community Asset Team Manager Are you passionate about making a difference to local communities and helping them develop the skills to thrive? If the answer is yes and you have worked within or managed a diverse team delivering excellent services within a community, then this might just be the role for you. Coastal are looking for someone with a passion for helping local communities to lead our Community Asset Team. - Develop and embed a clear strategy for ABCD in the way the community asset team, and Coastal, works - Preserve systems thinking as the method for continuous improvement and lead by example in understanding both demand and work flow - Lead the team (and Association) to challenge dependency on services, relocating power to citizens wherever possible and fostering a culture of active citizenship - Enable a culture of high support/high challenge (restorative approach) within the application of all activities, duties and functions - Provide outstanding leadership and management of the community asset team, ensuring high levels of communication, collaboration and cooperation - Establish effective connections between the community asset team, the community housing teams and other internal Coastal teams that facilitate a strengths based 'pull-in' approach - To collaboratively redesign the efforts and activities of the community asset team in a way that is led by the dreams and aspirations of community members themselves; discovers their skills, talents and contributions; asks communities what they can do or themselves; facilitates connectivity between people; and mobilises communities around shared aspirations. - Ensure that 'what matters' to the citizens we work with is at the forefront of activity and that we work to facilitate people leading their vision of a good life - Act on both internal and external systems to remove blockages and improve work flow where this requires strategic level involvement - Identify and set clear measures, and monitor the effectiveness of these against outcomes - Identify and design a method of measuring the impact of the teams contribution and build an evidence base - Capture local stories and share key findings with stakeholders in partnership with citizens - Strengthen connections with community connectors, groups (formal and informal) and organisations to build relationships and share skills. - Create opportunities for communities and organisations to collectively map community assets and exchange learning - Maintain a high external profile and develop relationships with key stakeholders to support the Group's strategic aims - Embody the organisation's values and model appropriate leadership behaviours at all times and in all areas of accountability.
