Main Responsibilities - Work as part of an agile product development team - Develop and maintain our web applications, web service solutions and batch processing services on products such as TraceIQ, IDU and Smartcleanse - Work alongside product management, project management and engineering teams to plan development for delivery of products and enhancements - Ensure that the development team continues to deliver high quality products within efficient timescales Skills & Experience - Strong demonstrable knowledge and experience of PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, MVC and OO - Good experience of development frameworks, ideally Zend and JQuery - Good verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills - Ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issues - Past experience working with data & database concepts (i.e. joining tables, creating indexes etc) - Understanding of professional software development processes, including familiarity with the cycles of requirements definition, issue tracking, version control, automated testing, deployment and maintenance - Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery - Hands on experience debugging complex problems - Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross functional groups as required - Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment What's it like to work here?
