Dependent on role Main responsibilities As a Clinical Research Nurse Manager, you will act as part of the research centre leadership team and support the Site Manager in profit and loss optimisation. You will ensure that the clinical area of the research centre provides a high quality and safe clinical research environment and initiate and manage nursing activities related to clinical trials, from initiation to termination according to ICH/GCP guidelines. You will also ensure the commercial success of the centre by recruiting and maintaining optimum patient numbers by providing professional leadership to all direct reports and being responsible for the training, professional development and supervision of your team. 50% of your time will be utilised clinically in this role. Your key accountabilities will be: Driving quality assurance measures and appropriate policies to enhance clinical research activity and successful business delivery Exercising meticulous attention to detail when collecting, recording, safety reporting, and verifying study data, reviewing trends and share best practice Promoting and nurturing a welcoming and pleasant environment for staff and participants to ensure effective team working, and provide professional leadership Ensuring effective communication by participation in regular meetings with operations and the UK clinical team Reviewing research protocols, identifying and coordinating training and education requirements for clinical reports Taking the lead on initiating emergency action when required e.g. cardiac arrest, anaphylaxis management, fire, or critical incidents Reviewing local outreach strategy with the centre manager to promote your research centre within the local community Reviewing and authoring relevant clinical SOP/guidelines Reviewing audit reports and complaints and initiating corrective and preventative action to ensure best practice Management of the centre clinical team through performance management and training Working in collaboration with the Site Manager and other CRNMs to ensure efficient and effective allocation of resources to ensure research activity and clinical excellence is maintained Contributing to the recruitment and retention of clinical staff Deputising for the UK Head of Nursing as required Ideal candidate As a successful Clinical Research Nurse Manager, you will likely have: Registration with no limitations to practice within the Nursing and Midwifery Council (Adult) Extensive experience as a clinical research nurse A post graduate diploma in a health/biological sciences related area or equivalent Management skills including experience of team leadership Advanced organisational and time management skills The ability to manage multiple complex projects at various stages of development Knowledge of the application of research within the Clinical and Research Governance agenda A broad range of advanced clinical skills and assessment techniques Alternative Job Titles: clinical research nurse, research sister, ward sister, medical research, general nurse, research nurse, registered adult nurse About the company [URL removed]
