Wales Air Ambulance is the all Wales charity that provides vital air cover for time critical illness or injury.  We are on standby every single day of the year, ready to help anyone in Wales during their most difficult hour of need.

We also operate the National Children's Air Ambulance of Wales, providing specialist treatment and airlifting some of Wales' youngest patients.

This is an exciting opportunity to be a key part or our Fundraising Department at the Wales Air Ambulance Charity.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • To provide support of a general nature to the Fundraising Manager to ensure the smooth running of the fundraising office.
  • Develop and maintain the donor and contact database.  To record all funds received onto Donorflex.
  • To ensure that each donor receives a thank you letter or certificate as appropriate.
  • Carry out daily administrative tasks including photocopying, scanning, filing, and shredding.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, volunteers and the general public.
  • Liaise with the Volunteer Co-ordinator.
  • To respect and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • To assist with ad-hoc projects.
  • To ensure the workplace area is kept in good order, clean and presentable at all times.
  • Attend any training as and when required.
  • To take on any other projects as requested by the Fundraising Manager.
  • To meet and greet visitors, ensuring a professional approach.
  • To on occasion where required attend fundraising and local community events as a representative for WAA.
  • To help maintain on a day-to-day basis the donor database and events list.
  • To assist in keeping accurate records for merchandise and stationery and helping with the monthly stock audit.
  • To act in accordance with all the charity's policies and procedures.
  • Observe all Health & Safety rules and to take reasonable care to promote health and safety at work for all employees.
  • Ensure that any duties that may be identified from time to time by the Manager are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner.
  • To support and work closely with all office based volunteers.

 

 

Personal Specification Desirable skills & experience:

  • Experience in prioritizing and managing workloads to a strict deadline.
  • Computer literate with good skills in Microsoft Office and email.
  • Competent at record keeping and document management.
  • Careful attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work well both alone and as part of a team.
  • Pleasant and efficient telephone manner.
  • Enthusiastic to learn and develop.
  • Flexible with working hours.
  • Ability to use initiative.
  • Commitment to the aims and objectives of the charitable trust.
  • Welsh speaking (desirable but not essential)
