Conveyancer Location: Pontypridd and Cardiff Salary: Package will depend upon experience Contract: Permanent, Full time Vacancies available in Pontypridd and Cardiff Historically, Spicketts Solicitors was established in the mid-19th century. The firm of Cassam & Battrick traditionally provided legal services to well-known financial institutions in Cardiff, as well as being a mainstream provider of legal services to its local area. Amalgamating the two companies, Spicketts Battrick Law Practice was formed in 2006. Since then, the firm has continued to proudly honor their tradition of providing quality legal services to the community of Cardiff and Pontypridd. Purpose of job: A vacancy exists for fee earners in our Conveyancing Department within both our Cardiff and Pontypridd offices, to undertake fee earning work for private clients of the practice. Conveyancer - Accountabilities and responsibilities: - To manage all client work allocated by the Head of Department/other partners in accordance with detailed procedures and quality standards contained in the practice's office manual. - To ensure that all client work is progressed expeditiously and that the client is kept regularly informed on progress and on costs. - At all time to exercise high standards of client care in a professional and pleasant manner. - To ensure the confidentiality and security of all documentation and information of the practice and client. - To achieve agreed levels of billing and time recordings. - In close liaison with the Cash Office, to have overall responsibility for credit control on own matters. - To comply with the Solicitors' Accounts Rules and the Solicitors' Code of Conduct 2011. - To maintain clear and precise communications with other personnel in the practice. - To ensure good working relationship with external institutions and organisations. - To supervise, support and develop immediate support staff and fee earning staff as agreed with the Head of Department. - To take responsibility for and attend to your CPD needs. - In conjunction with the practice, to comply with the relevant training requirements of the SRA and to assist with in-house training as may be required. - In liaison with Head of Department and other partner, to be active in promoting the services of the practice and its image and ethos. - To carry out any other duties and responsibilities that may be required by the partner. - Experience of the following an advantage: Fee Earner, Solicitor, Legal Executive, Lawyer, P1, Conveyancing, Conveyancer If you have the skills and experience required, please click on APPLY and forward your CV and cover letter with current salary details, explaining why you are a good fit for this role.
