We have a truly amazing opportunity not to be missed Following the hugely successful opening of our first UK Cafe and Bake shop in Glasgow the world famous Tim Hortons will be opening a new site in Cardiff in 2017 and require Shift Managers to lead the team and build on our phenominal success. In return you will be rewarded with a starting salary of £18,000 - £22,000. Have you heard? The world famous Tim Hortons is finally venturing to the UK - Lucky us We are looking to build on our 4,590 restaurants worldwide, as well as increase our yearly serving of over 2 billion cups of coffee here in Great Britain, so we are looking for some tenacious and enthusiastic team members to keep our brand great. A Tim Hortons Shift Manager is a integral member of the team and you will assist in managing all aspects of a restaurant's operation in order to ensure Tim Hortons' standards around people, product, cleanliness and an "Exceptional Customer Experience," are fulfilled. The Shift Manager will also assist in sustaining, directing, and increasing sales growth and profit levels. Your key responsibilities of Shift Manager include the following: Customer Service - Ensures high standards of the customer experience are maintained at all times. - Leading by example displaying excellent customer service behaviours. - Resolves customer complaints and turns potentially negative situations into positive ones. - Works with Restaurant Manager to maintain operation efficiency, through training of team members. - Assists in maximising team member coverage at all times, performs the role of floor leadership and works as required in various areas during busy periods to maintain optimal guest service levels. People - Assists in the recruiting of new team members, training and developing existing team members and motivating and encouraging a team to achieve targets. - Provides ongoing performance feedback and conducts, additionally records regular performance reviews. - Assisting Restaurant Manager with team member scheduling to ensure adequate coverage on all shifts. Driving Sales - Assists the Restaurant Manager in planning and working within budget, maximising profits and achieving sales and targets including control of Food/Paper/Labour costs in the restaurant. - Assists Restaurant Manager in running incentive programmes to encourage continuous improvement. - Coaches employees to up sell and suggestive sell to customers. Works with the Restaurant Manager positioning employees to ensure fast, friendly and efficient service. Operations - Assists Restaurant Manager with incident investigations, workplace inspections, and formulating action plans to address shortfalls. - Responsible for daily cash procedures and assists with financial reporting. - Assists with end of day reports i.e. Daily cash sheets, deposits, sales, waste and inventory. - Assists with ordering of supplies and overall building maintenance and cleanliness. - Reports all injuries/illness, accidents, unsafe conditions, security incidents and any contravention of health and safety legislation, policies and procedures to the Restaurant Manager. - Displays knowledge of and works within compliance to applicable legislation including, food safety, health and safety, and employment standards. - Works to the maintenance programme/schedule for all equipment for preventative maintenance and calibration purposes. - Maintaining operational standards within the restaurant, such as food quality, food hygiene standards, guest experience, speed of service and hospitality, restaurant cleanliness and the restaurant team's presentation and grooming standards. - Support the overall Tim Hortons UK mission to be the best employer in the QSR sector.
