Development Scientist (R&D) Cardiff CF14 5DX / Crumlin NP11 3EF Permanent £Competitive BBI Solutions is a leading expert in immunoassay development and manufacturing services, and provides an extensive portfolio of products and technologies to the global diagnostic and pharmaceutical markets. We are currently progressing through a period of substantial growth as an organization, and have the opportunity to recruit a number of Development Scientists into our growing operation. This role will initially be based from our Cardiff site, but will move to our brand new Global Centre of Excellence in Crumlin, by early 2018. The Role The Development Scientist has responsibility for completing all planned laboratory work required for projects within the R&D team and is expected to complete and write up experiments accurately utilizing approved formats to ensure appropriate Design History File completion. Your role will involve analysis and presentation of all results using excel and power point for review and discussion by the project team. Primary objectives will include the following: Independent and accurate completion of planned laboratory work. Ability to plan experiments with appropriate controls. Analysis and presentation of work using excel and/or power point to present to Project Team. Actively contribute to internal Project Team Meetings. Ability to give clear and appropriate communication with colleagues and customers to achieve customer satisfaction. Ability to work well within different teams to achieve results. The Person As the R&D Scientist you will be expected to have significant experience of working within a laboratory environment and be familiar with GLP and working within QMS. Effective communication skills are key, both within the team and also with internal and external customers. It is paramount that you can work independently, accurately and plan experiments with appropriate controls. You will hold a science based degree and have a good working knowledge in the application of statistical methods (both analytical and descriptive). A knowledge of immunology and analytical techniques such as ELISA would be an advantage.
