Purchase Ledger Clerk

Bridgend, South Wales - £18-23k dependant on experience

Our client provides serviced vehicle hire for television and film productions in the UK and Europe, specialising in on-location support for dramas and major features.

Our client is currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team based in Bridgend, South Wales

The role:

They are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their busy accounts team.

This position would suit someone who has a great deal of experience in this area and can assume full responsibility for this function, ideally with experience in other areas of accounts to help the team when required. The ideal candidate will be customer focused and committed to delivering and maintaining exceptionally high standards of work.

Main Duties:

  • Maintenance of the invoices inbox, ensuring invoices are checked and distributed to budget holders for authorisation on a daily basis
  • Posting of purchase invoices onto Sage Line 50
  • Reconciliation of supplier accounts on a monthly basis, following up any queries with budget holders/suppliers as required
  • Ensure payments are made within the company's agreed terms
  • Ensure supplier forms are held for all suppliers
  • Completion of credit application forms in a timely manner as and when required
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers

Essential requirements:

  • Proficient on Sage Line 50 Accounts
  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Good communication skills.

Desirable Requirements

  • AAT qualified
  • Experience in other accountancy functions
