PAYROLL CARDIFF £10.00 - £13.00 PER HOUR Robert Half Finance and Accounting are urgently recruiting for a Payroll clerk to join a company in Cardiff starting immediately for an ongoing temporary role. MAIN PURPOSE: To assist Payroll Supervisor with the Monthly & Weekly payroll DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Process all aspects of a monthly/weekly payroll data. Process payrolls using current HMRC legislation and Real Time Information routines. Deal with and understand pension auto enrolment obligations/requirements on a weekly/month basis Be responsible for maintenance and updating of all payroll files, both manual and computerised. Liaise with HMRC in writing or via telephone when necessary Deal with and answer employee payroll queries Chase staff for payroll data where necessary to ensure compliance with RTI Provide guidance to all staff in respect of payroll related entitlements. E.g. Holidays Deal with end of year Final Full payment submissions and production of P60's Qualifications/Technical Knowledge Previous payroll experience required, including exposure to shift payments, overtime, bonuses. A good working knowledge of income tax, National Insurance, SMP, SSP, and current HMRC legislation. Experience of other Finance areas, e.g. book-keeping or reconciliations, would be advantageous. Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Able to meet demanding schedules and deadlines Result oriented Good awareness of internal controls Excellent attention to detail Ability to plan and prioritise own work schedule Experience of using PeopleSoft payroll software, RTI and Pensions Auto-Enrolment are desirable but not essential SAGE Payroll INTERESTED Contact Emma Llewellyn today ??
