Do you have a passion for communications? The Strategic Communications Team are at the heart of the DVLA Corporate Communications team and are responsible for supporting the delivery of the agency strategy through agreed communication plans and campaigns. We are looking for an Insight, Planning and Performance Officer to join our team. The team has responsibility for the planning and co-ordination of corporate communications by liaising with the core communications team and the network of Communication and Engagement Managers from each DVLA directorate. You will need to build good relationships with colleagues across the agency and more widely with central government departments to ensure that our campaigns and activities are aligned to wider government priorities. You will be responsible for maintaining the corporate communication plan and sharing it with the senior team on a weekly basis. You'll champion Government Communication Service (GCS) standards and good practice and follow agreed templates. You will also be responsible for maintaining the team risk register. You will support the team by commissioning insight when required to inform communication campaigns and evaluate performance, producing dashboards to report on progress against key objectives. Role Responsibilities: • Maintain the agency's planning documents which support the strategic direction of the agency and the delivery of its business objectives • Understand customer insight and how it can drive behaviour change. Support line manager as point of contact with Customer Insight providing advice and support to colleagues • Undertake evaluation against corporate communication outcomes and provide advice on actions to ensure outcomes are met ensuring consistency with GCS standards • Work with communication team members to ensure evaluation mechanisms are in place for campaign messages where appropriate • Be responsible for the risk register, liaising with risk co-ordinators as necessary • Maintain the agency Communications Performance Dashboards Person Overview: We would love to hear from you if you have a passion for developing relationships across multiple teams at all levels.
